Just an hours drive from Wales oldest and most haunted location The Skirrid Inn, Abergavenny, is the Woodchester Mansion of South Wales the imposing gothic Margam Castle near Port Talbot in South Wales.
Margam Castle set deep into the hillside of Margam Park and dates back to the early 1800’s The Castle was the Talbot family home until the mid 1970s
The ghostly accounts of cold spots and colourful orbs throughout the Castle are chillingly frequent.
As you enter this foreboding location you are met by the sweeping staircase where on occasions the activity has been relentless with objects thrown, footsteps heard, hushed conversations and sinister shadows looming from the darkness
The sound of giggling children is often heard through the long corridors that lead to the once busy rooms of the family areas.
There have been reports of children in period dress darting in and out of doorways on the upper floor leading to the nursery
The daunting figure of the blacksmith is a regular visitor and has been seen by many of the staff who work at the castle
During the night the castle’s security guards have reported unexplained noises, running footsteps and hushed conversations when no one else in the building
