The Workhouse in Ripon has a haunting history dating back to the 1700’s and was the last resort for the poor, homeless and destitute, conditions for the poor souls who entered were cruel and harsh and for those who reluctantly entered the gates of the workhouse would only ever be likely to leave in a coffin.

On entering this vast location the sadness and torment can be felt running through the heart of this harrowing building.

Paranormal activity that has been experienced here can be only described as absolutely terrifying, with so many sinister rooms and endless darkened corridors to include the sleeping areas the communal areas and the chilling mortuary to investigate on our night of extreme ghost hunting.
