Strelley Hall in Nottingham has many period rooms dating as far back as the 1200’s and deep underneath the old hall is a maze of cellars that is said to be haunted by a plethora of ghosts

As you make your way through the cellar you will come across the sunken room said to be a medieval dungeon where poltergeist activity has been experienced on past investigations here.

On the upper floors we will have exclusive access to the most haunted areas which include the castle room and the panelled room where ghostly figures dark shadows and an unwelcoming feeling await those who enter.

Strelley Hall, located in Strelley Village near Nottingham, has a rich history spanning from the early 1200s to the present day. 
Key Historical Periods and Features:
  • Early Origins (1200 AD): Strelley Hall began as a castle or fortified manor, with the de Strelley family, who had been granted the land by William Peveral, a close friend of William the Conqueror. Twelve generations of de Strelleys were knighted by the King. 
  • Medieval Structures: The Castle Room, located within a medieval tower, and the Panelled Room, dating back to Georgian times, are original features of the building. A medieval cellar and a dungeon are also remnants of the earlier structure. 
  • Georgian Era (1780s): The majority of the current building was constructed in the 1780s. 
  • Modern Usage: Strelley Hall is now used for a variety of purposes, including office space, meeting rooms, and event hosting. The Stables building is used as a café. 
  • Architectural Details: The hall features original architectural details like the Castle Room’s thick walls and panelling, along with the impressive three-story main hall with a cantilevered staircase. 
  • Grade II Listed: Strelley Hall is a Grade II listed Georgian mansion. 
    Other Notable Features:
  • Dungeon:
    The Dungeon, located below the Hall, was used to imprison criminals from the 14th century until the early 1900s. 

  • All Saints’ Church:
    The Hall overlooks All Saints’ Church, which is Grade I listed.

What's Included

During your night you will be taking part in various methods of Ghost Hunting  using Ouija boards, table tipping, glass divination, Psychic seances and along with modern day ghost hunting techniques.

Tea/coffee and squash along with crisps and biscuits will be available.

Parking is free onsite

Wear warm layered clothing as it can get cold throughout the night.

Wear flat gripped footwear.
